Hosting guests for us is a much more than just providing a bed and meal as we find thrill in presenting the most wholesome and personalised service we could only wish to encounter when traveling ourselves. Every guest is contacted beforehand where in they receive detailed info on how to get to our location whether it is from the airport, ferry port or bus station; they are also met at the drop-off point and walked to Makarun.

We loved staying here - the location is excellent, the room was comfortable and clean and the managers / hosts were so hospitable. Very good value and a lovely experience. We ate one evening at the restaurant affiliated with the property and the food was delicious!

Excellent new property in Split Fantastic new small property in the heart of Old Town Split with three newly renovated and spacious rooms. The two hosts, Mario and Luka, go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The property is connected to an excellent restaurant, one of the best ones in Split. An outstanding three-course breakfast is provided. I highly recommend Makarun Heritage Rooms.

I found a gem within the town! Run by two lovely hosts who made my short stay very easy, with endless recommendations for Split and the remaining destinations of my trip in Croatia. Both are locals and highly knowledgable. Everything was above expectations. Will stay there every time I am in Split!

Amazing experience! We had a fantastic night in Split! Mario and Luka at the hotel were amazing. Mario met us at the port to take us to the hotel and promptly disposed of a bag for us where a bottle of oil had spilt. He then replaced it with a much nicer bottle of oil and wafers for the children. He recommended a whole list of restaurants and then booked one for us for that evening. This was particularly useful as we were staying on a busy Saturday night in July. Luka walked us to the port the next day and showed us exactly where we needed to go to catch our ferry. Mario and Luka really could not have done anymore for us. Our room was beautiful - clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely and Split itself is a very picturesque city. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here!
